Serving Desoto County as Tax Collector is an honor and privilege. Our goal is to provide all taxpayers with the highest level of customer service while maintaining public trust and meeting all legal requirements of the state agencies. ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • The Desoto County Tax Collector’s office will be closed, Thursday & Friday, November 28th - 29th, in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. We will reopen Monday, Dec. 2nd.

  • THE 2024 PROPERTY TAX BILLS BECOME OPEN FOR COLLECTION BEGINNING FRIDAY, NOV. 1st. Pay during November and receive a 4% discount. If you do not receive your tax bill in the mail by Nov. 15th, please contact our office. Click PAY PROPERTY TAXES.

  • If you are a homeowner and have suffered catastrophic hurricane damage which caused your home to be uninhabitable for 30 days or more, please click HERE for more information regarding a possible tax adjustment.

  • Delinquent taxes are not eligible for online payments. Delinquent taxes must be paid by cash, certified check or money order.
